CIT awarded the Spin-Out Company Impact Award for collaborative work with AventaMed

At a ceremony in the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham on Thursday 23rd June, CIT was awarded the Spin-Out Company Impact Award for the work done on AventaMed , the award winning spin-out from MEDIC.

The KTI Impact Awards showcase the success in knowledge transfer carried out in Irish HEI's and also acknowledge and celebrate the technology transfer offices, industry liaison offices and their staff who facilitate this knowledge transfer.

The award was presented by Minister Mary Mitchell- O' Connor , Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. Present to the receive the award were Ronan Coleman, CIT Commercialisation Specialist, Josette O' Mullane , CIT Industry Liaison Manager and Daithi Fallon, Head of MEDIC (who also represented the founders , former CIT researchers John Vaughan and Dr Olive O' Driscoll).

CIT beat strong competition from the other short listed companies from DIT and the Royal College of Surgeons and is a testament to the quality of the research being carried out in MEDIC and the quality of work carried out by Ronan Coleman in CIT's Industry Liaison Office.
